NC Continues Lobbying Small Parties For Support
By KTM Metro Reporter
August 18, 2010: NC leaders have continued lobbying small parties for their support for the NC Prime Ministerial candidate in the election to be held on August 23, 2010. Most of the small party leaders preferred the consensus politics if it is impossible then the coalition of left parties to form a new government. Similarly, the Madheshi political leaders have not shown any kindness to the NC leaders. They have said their support alone without the support of the CPN-UML will not make a new government. However, the CPN-UML leaders continue to sit on the fence.
The CPN-UML leaders have suggested amending the Interim Constitution of Nepal of 2007 for making the provision for the consensus politics but the Prime Ministerial candidate Ram Chandra Poudel has flatly rejected it showing strong dislike for the consensus politics.
Addressing a function in Dang, another NC leader called Khum Bahadur Khadka has said that the Constituent assembly should be dissolved for breaking the current political deadlock. Mr. Khadka has charged both the CPN-UML and Madheshi leaders with holding the country hostage to the political deadlock not voting in the election.
Clearly, the NC leaders have been pushing the country to a political chaos not adopting the prudent political decision. Obviously, they have no political future in the regular political environment; so they must be opting for an unusual political environment to continue their corrupt rule as had done by the previous NC governments.
