Political Cadres Escape With Impunity Due to Interference

On January 26, 2010, speaking to the anchor of the morning program called ‘antar sambad’ of the state-run Radio Nepal, a police authority has said that political cadres have been escaping with impunity because of the political interferences; political leaders directly order the police authority not to take actions against their cadres in case of their involvement in criminal activities, even if the police take actions then they need to make the evidences of such cases weak so that the culprits would get freed by the court; and politicians also interfere in posting the policemen in different remote areas so the police authorities cannot post police to different remote areas independently.
