An All-party Meeting And CPN-Maoist-Vaidhya

Issue 19, May 12, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

May 10, 2013: The government called an all-party meeting at the state secretariat today to set the possible date for CA polls and to build a consensus on the amendment to the election related laws.

The 33 political parties including the CPN-Maoist-Vaidhya stayed away from the all-party meeting. They rejected the government’s call for talks stating they did not recognize the current government, and have been demanding to annul the formation of this unconstitutional government.

In a press statement issued today, Chairman of CPN-Maoist-Vaidhya: Mohan Vaidhya repeated the party's demands to scrap the 25-point presidential decree, revoke the citizenship bill and void the recent appointment at the Commission on Investigation into Abuse of Authority (CIAA) as preconditions for talks to end the political crisis, according to THT ONLINE of today.

The CPN-Maoist-Vaidhya has even demanded the resignation of President Dr Ram Baran Yadav for appointing the most controversial and tainted Lokman Singh Karki to the chief of the CIAA.
