Giving Licenses To Two Companies For Generating Power From Garbage

November 22, 2013: The government has issued licenses to two private companies for conducting feasibility study on generating electricity from garbage, according to the RSS news on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com.’

 

The Gold Rush Company has received a survey license for generating 7.9MW electricity from the garbage of the Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan City. The Electricity Development Department has issued the license to carry out the feasibility study including the environmental aspects of the project within a year.

 

The Balaji Biomass and Briquette Power Company has received the license for the feasibility study to produce 3.5 MW electricity from the garbage collected in the Kathmandu Metropolitan City. The company has two years to complete the job.
