Agreed On Holding An All-party Meeting

Issue 36, September 8, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

September 5, 2013: at the meeting held with the leaders of the Federal Social party yesterday, leaders of the four-party political mechanism have agreed on holding an all-party meeting including the CPN-Maoist headed by Mohan Vaidhya, according to the news in ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.

However, they have not signed off an agreement on this matter, as they have to agree on the modalities of an all-party meeting. They also agreed on returning back to the provision made for 601 CA members. However, the Federal Democratic Front led by Upednra Yadav has not given a clear consent to the 601 members of a CA, as they have previously agreed on 585 CA members.

At an event held to release a new book held in Kathmandu yesterday, Chairman of CPN-Maoist Mohan Vaidhya has said that there is no alternative to build a consensus; so, the four-party political mechanism needs to move to that direction, according to the news in ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.

Vaidhya said, “Let us make a new agreement on a new basis; let us hold an all-party meeting with authority. The four-party has walked away from the talks but we have not.”
