Gacchedar is the last leader taking over the chair and presiding over the meeting of the four-party mechanism.
The four-party political party mechanism wanted to hold a meeting with the EC commissioners to ascertain the progress made by the EC in preparation for the elections to be held on November 4, 2013. Leaders of the four-party political mechanism have been concerned with the public speech of the EC Chief Nilkantha Uprety, and the government transferring the secretary to the EC to other ministry.
Leaders of the four-party political mechanism have decide to give a last chance to the talks with the dissident leaders of some political parties particularly CPN-Maoist-Vaidhya, MPRF-Nepal, and Federal Socialist party to bring them to participate in the elections. If the dissident leaders were to stick to their demands then the four-party political mechanism decided to go ahead with the elections even without their participation.
