Peace Marathon In Kathmandu

On January 1, 2010, the Madan Bhandari Sports Academy has held a so-called Peace Marathon in Kathmandu. President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav opened the so-called marathon releasing pigeons at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu.
The Peace Marathon is actually a Peace Walk, as the participants have walked from the Dasharath Stadium to Basantapur about a two-kilometer distance. The Oli faction of the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist and Leninist has held this peace walk on the occasion of the New Year 2010.
