No Problem In The party But Problems Of Organizational Issues

Issue 27, July 7, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

July 3, 2013: Speaking at an event held to welcome new entrants to the party, Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda has denied any problem in his party; however, the need is for a new working procedure to resolve the problem of the structure of the organization, according to the news on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’.

“The problem was a result of the lack of clarity on organizational issues starting from the party's general convention in Hetauda. However, the issue will be dealt with by the extended meeting scheduled for July 19,” said Chairman Prachanda.

Speaking at the Reporters’ Club Nepal in Kathmandu on Monday, July 1, 2013, Spokesman for UCPN-Maoist Agni Sapkota said that the extended meeting called by the party would set the organizational structure as per the tactical line adopted by the recent party convention. He said that the extended meeting would also work on the organizational structure report, regulations related to organizations, work and post divisions, and analyze the vice-chairman Dr. Baburam Bhattarai’s decision to quit the post.

Stating that the political parties were ready to address the rational demands of the dissident political parties, he however made it clear that changes in 11-point political agreement, 25-point agreement to remove constitutional barriers and dissolution of Interim Election Council (IEC) were out of question.
