Nepal Promotion in Moscow

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) in conjunction with the Nepalese Embassy in Moscow promoted the Nepalese travel trade in the Fifteenth Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (MITT) held in Moscow, Russia from 19 to 22 March 2008.

The Nepalese travel-trade companies participating in the exhibition used it as a platform for interacting with the Russian travel business community and were able to get business deals Nepalnews.com ag Mar 23 08 quoted the NTB.

The Nepalese private sector travel trade companies such as South Asian Holidays, Eco-Trek International & Nepal Kamaz Tours & Travels participated in the exhibition. The Nepal stand was able to draw around 40,000 visitors during the exhibition.

Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (MITT) is the largest and most influential travel trade show held in Russia every year, providing entrepreneurs with an opportunity for obtaining market information, hearing opinions of business community and interact with the influential Russian travel trade personalities for business tie ups.

Moscow having the concentration of wealth and a population of 11 million people is a huge potential quality tourist market for the Nepalese tourism industry. The Russian travelers are regarded as the world's high spenders.

The Nepalese embassy in Moscow held a reception for the key Russian travel business community, media and Nepali Diaspora on March 22, 2008 according to the independent Nepalese press.
