By KTM Metro Reporter

November 4, 2013: only fourteen days are left before the elections to a new constituent assembly is held on November 19, the Election Commission says that it will take the voters’ ID cards to the voters by that time. It is a challenging job but the EC is determined to complete it on time.

The government says that security will prevail to hold the elections in a free and fair manner without any fear to voters. The home ministry says that the police have been taking legal actions against anybody trying to disrupt the elections. Some arsonists are on trail.

The CPN-Maoist leaders say that they are for peaceful boycott of the elections but they are ready to confront if the government is to suppress their peaceful protest. The government says it will not tolerate illegal actions.

The CPN-Maoist cadres have been shutting down districts wherever Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda is to speak to election rallies. Direct confrontations between the cadres of the CPN-Maoist and UCPN-Maoist have been avoided but the confrontation among the cadres of different political parties have been recorded.
