Tibetans’ Protest Against Chinese Administration

Issue 16, April 20, 2008

By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu

Tibetans living in exile in Nepal have renewed their protest against the Chinese Administration in Tibet. They had suspended their protest a week before the election for a CA in Nepal for not disturbing the election.

On April 18, the Nepalese police have already detained more than 500 Tibetan exiles. The Nepalese police have even diverted the public traffic from the Chinese Embassy in Nepal for the security, and for avoiding the Tibetan exiles approaching the embassy for protesting. However, Tibetan exiles have been continuing to rally with the placards saying, “Stop killing in Tibet” and “We want a free Tibet.”
