A Number of Shutdowns of Nepal, Districts And Regions Reducing

Issue 21, May 20, 2012

By KTM Metro Reporter

May 17, 2012: the Bahun-Chhetri community has got what they wanted: their identity as the indigenous people not the miscellaneous people as previously grouped them by the major political parties. So, they have called off their shutdown program.

The government and the Bahun-Chhetri community have reached a three-point deal. The government will add the Bahun-Chhetri community on the list of the indigenous people, and will formulate a province with their identity. The Bahun-Chhetri community in turn calls off a shutdown of Nepal. The Bahun-Chhetri community had launched an indefinite shutdown of Nepal demanding their separate identity.

Similarly, the far western Ekata Samaj also has called off a shutdown of the far western region making the lives of the people back to normal.

Now, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal has taken a turn to call a shutdown of Nepal. Shutting down a country is the easiest thing to do in Nepal if you have money to do so. A mafia has developed in Nepal. If any party wants to shut down Nepal, its leaders can simply call this mafia to enforce a shutdown of the country paying the fees. Members of the mafia go to destroy any vehicles running on the streets, and any stores opened during the shutdown period.
