June 23, 2011: speaking at the Special Hour of the Legislature-Parliament yesterday, UCPN-Maoist leader Dev Gurung has objected the three major political parties working through the task force disregarding the elected Constituent Assembly (CA) and not letting it work following the regulations and rules of procedures, the state-run news agency called RSS says.

Legislature Gurung has said that the CA would be meaningless if the parties and the taskforce hold discussions on the integrated draft of the constitution without taking it to the CA for discussions; and has also demanded correcting the course of constitution writing from the point it was diverted, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.

Deputy Prime Minister Bharat Mohan Adhikari holding the portfolio of Finance Minister has yesterday introduced a resolution calling up the discussion on the principles and priorities of appropriation bill in the legislature-parliament, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.

Speaking at the House session, Deputy Prime Minister Adhikari has said that the principles and priorities of the budget he has submitted to the legislature-parliament are for setting the upcoming budget correctly after the pre-budget discussion at the legislature-parliament.

Mr. Adhikari said that the budget would give the priority to the peace process, constitution writing, and commercialization of agriculture and electricity production and extension of transmission lines.
