December 22, 2012: Reporter Laxman Bajgain of Makranchuli, Makwanpur has lodged a complaint against Minister for Forest and Soil Conservation Yadubansa Jha at the Commission on Investigation into Abuse of Authority (CIAA) yesterday stating the Forest Minister representing CPN-ML-Socialist party in the current government has embezzled more than Rs. 150 million, and has illegally deposited in the US and Indian banks in the accounts of his brother Haribansa Jha, according to the RSS news of today.

The Nepalese forest had been the victim of the corrupt ministers and prime minister. The then Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa illegally used the forest for funding again illegally to make the results of the referendum on the choice between the multiparty system and the improved Panchayat held in 1980 causing massive deforestation and adversely affecting the environment.
