Paras Appears At Chitwan District Administration Office

March 3, 2011: former crown prince Paras has appeared at the district administration office in Chitwan today facing the charge of firing shots in the air in anger while having hot discussion with Ruwel Chaudhary son-in-law of former Deputy Prime Minister Sujata Koirala at the Tiger Tops Jungle Resort in Chitwan in December 2010.
After the flash of this event, Ruwel has come to limelight and his deeds in Nepal mostly the cases of abusing the authority of his mother-in-law for his benefits according to the Nepalese media reports. Ruwel is a Bangladeshi national married to the daughter of Sujata Koirala fathered by a German national.
Paras accompanied by his lawyers, supporters and well-wishers has showed up at the office of the district administration for questioning today. After the brief hearing on the case, the district administration office set a date for March 16 for another hearing and Paras needs to be present in the office again.
Obviously, Paras has turned the tables on Ruwel and used the case for drumming his patriotism and garnering the support from the previous loyal supporters almost defected to the opposition. Paras has enjoyed receiving bouquets of flower, garlands and banners welcoming him in Chitwan from the people most probably paid by his father.
