The State Affairs Committee of Legislature-Parliament has turned over the task of the investigation into the fraudulent purchase of the APC to the CIAA one year ago but it has been taking time to complete it despite the seriousness of the case and the need for completing it as soon as possible.
Secretary to CIAA Bhagawati Kafle has said that the CIAA has been doing its business of investigating the case and asked the lawmakers not to put pressure on it when lawmakers have asked the secretary reasons for not completing the investigation into the fraudulent purchase even after 13 months CIAA has been charged with the responsibility for it.
Lawmaker Chitra Bahadur KC has said that the high profile people are involved in the case so the CIAA has failed in completing the investigation into the case due to their influence on the CIAA, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.
