Constitutional Committee Meeting Postpones
By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu
On December 6, 2009, the Constitutional Committee On Natural Resources, Financial Rights And Revenue Allocation has postponed its meeting to Monday morning, December 7, 2009 due to the low turnout of the Committee members. Most of the members could not attend the meeting due to the shutdown of the entire country called by the UCPN-Maoist in protest against the killing of five people by the armed police force in course of forcibly ejecting them in the Kailalai district on Friday, December 4, 2008.
This is the first time that anyone of the constitutional committees has postponed its business otherwise these committees have been working smoothly despite the obstruction of the legislature by the Maoist legislators.
