Kathmandu: We have seen the change from one-party government to another has severely delayed in continuation of the large capital projects as the delay in the appointment of ministers has stalled the decisions on large development projects.
For example, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba once former king Gyanendra labeled as an incompetent has not demonstrated his competency to appoint the ministers even after more than a month and a half. The media have been saying that the prime minister will appoint the ministers today but it has not been done yet by afternoon.
The delay in making the full cabinet has not only adversely affected the large development projects but also the Bills submitted to the parliament for passing. According to the news in “gorkhapatra” of today, 53 Bills have been waiting for the parliament to pass, some are as long as three years because every new minister takes time to review the Bills submitted in the parliament, some other ministers simply ignore the Bills submitted by the predecessors.
