Tibetan Exiles Protesting Chines Rule In Tibet

Issue 11, March 13, 2011

By KTM Metro Reporter

March 10, 2011: the security force of the Khanal government has beaten up the Tibetan exiles in Nepal protesting against the Chinese occupation of Tibet. Marking the botched uprising of Tibetans on March 10, 1959 against the Chinese rule in Tibet, Tibetan exiles in Kathmandu have marched peacefully protesting against the Chinese occupation of Tibet. However, Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal has sent his security force to beat the protestors. The security force armed with batons has beaten young lady, men and senior Tibetans on TV cameras.

Mr. Khanal should be held accountable for injuring the peaceful protestors and for arresting them and not permitting them to hold a peaceful march against the Chinese occupation of Tibet. Mr. Khanal is abusing his security force for denying the Tibetan exiles in Nepal the fundamental human rights to protest peacefully.
