Former Prime Minister Krishna Prasad Bhattarai’s Birthday

Founding member of the Nepali Congress Krishna Prasad Bhattarai celebrated 84th birthday on February 21, 2008 obviously to show the support for the suspended king Gyanendra. Gyanendra and his family members were in hotel Himalaya at Kupondole, Lalitpur to celebrate the birthday of the politician that has been deadwood.
Bhattarai has been the strong supporter of the monarchy. He quit the Nepali Congress party protesting the decision of the General Committee of the Nepali Congress to go for a republic. His resignation did not make any difference to the party.
