Burning Vehicles In Protest Against Finance Minister

December 5, 2011: cadres of the Youth Association Nepal (YAN) affiliated to the CPN-UML in protest against the Finance Minister allegedly for misappropriating the Self Employment Fund have burned down some state-owned vehicles at the New Baneswore and Gaushala causing traffic jam for several hours yesterday.

The cadres of YAN had gathered at the International Airport in Kathmandu and greeted the Finance Minister with black flags and some of the irritated YAN activists threw bricks and stones breaking the windowpanes of the International terminal building in protest allegedly against the misappropriation of the Self Employment Fund. Later, they burned down several state-owned vehicles at Gaushala and New Bansewore in Kathmandu yesterday.
