Completion Of Seventh General convention Of UCPN-Maoist

February 9, 2013: The seventh general convention of the UCPN-Maoist concluded in Hetauda yesterday with the formation of a 151-member central executive committee, of which 98 have been elected. The next meeting of the central committee will select remaining 53 members following the seniority and inclusion of different sectors. Prachanda got reelected as the chairman. Dr Baburam Bhattarai and Narayan Kaji Shrestha got reelected to the Vice-chairmen of the party. The convention decided to elevate Nar Bahadur Karmacharya as the party’s patron, according to HIMALAYAN NEWS SERVICE of yesterday.
