Nepali Congress Begins Process Of Finding Successor To GP Koirala

August 12, 2010: the Nepali Congress has been holding district conventions in preparation for holding a national convention to elect a successor to late Girja Prasad Koirala that has died in March 2010. The two contenders for the President of the Nepali Congress are Acting President Sushil Koirala and Senior Leader and former three-term Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. The Nepali Congress is holding its twelfth national convention in Kathmandu on September 17, 2010. The Nepali Congress needs to complete its district conventions before holding the national convention.
