Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has found that the number of Chinese visitors to Nepal has increased drastically since August 2009. NTB has attributed such rise in the Chinese visitors to Nepal to its promotional activities targeting to bring one million visitors by 2011 and to the flights of China Eastern Airlines linking Kathmandu with various major cities of China.
