Chairman Of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda Visiting India Today

April 27, 2013: today afternoon, Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda is flying to New Delhi for a two-day visit to India after a recent weeklong visit to China. While in India, he will met with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid, Chief of Indian Congress Party Sonia Gandhi, and leader of opposition Bharatiya Janata Party Shusma Sowraj, according to the 7:00 am morning news of the Radio Nepal.

 

Chairman Prachanda also will visit some Indian development projects, as he did in China. He will mainly focused on the development assistance in the talks to be held with the Indian officials and political leaders. His intention is to have the joint venture of China-India-Nepal projects in Nepal, and to bring China and India closer to each other.

 

Chairman Prachanda had made it clear to the Chinese leaders that only the prosperous Nepal could address the security concern of China, so china needed to help Nepal in development. Chairman Prachanda is going to say the same thing to the Indian leaders.

 

The Hetauda convention of UCPN-Maoist has changed the course adopted by the party to the ‘capitalist people’s revolution’ through the productivity and development of the country. To this end, Chairman Prachanda is making visits to the neighboring counties to mobilize their assistance for the development of Nepal, according to the ’gorkhapatra’ news of today.

 

Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda has met with President Dr Ram Baran Yadav yesterday to brief the president on his visit to India.
