Office Of Prime Minister Avoid Donor Influence

December 29, 2012: The government of Nepal has decided to run the projects under the prime minister's office on its own starting in January 2013 to do away with the direct influence of international development agencies, according to the Xinhua news of today.

Currently, a project on the information and communication technology is going on at the prime minister's office with the fund provided by the Asian Development Bank. According to the state officials, the government has let it continue with the request from the ADB not to stop it, as it is going to complete soon.

Similarly, the government has decided to run the office of the president without the fund of the donor agencies.

The government has been doing so to avoid the direct influence of the donor agencies in the offices of the prime minister and the president.
