Festival Occasion Best For Election Campaign

October 17, 2013: Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala currently in his home district called Banke to celebrate the Dasain festival, joined his election rivals to seize the festive opportunity for election campaigning, according to the news posted on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’.

 

President Koirala is contesting the election at the Banke-3 constituency, interacted with district leaders and workers of the party on Wednesday and acquired information about the election activities and atmosphere.

 

The NC chief also held meetings with the members of the Muslim community and exchanged greetings on the occasion of Bakr-Eid. The Muslim community is celebrating the Bakr-Eid on Wednesday.

 

Along with Koirala, other candidates are also using the festive mood of both the Dasain and the Bakr-Eid for the election campaign.

 

Everyone has found the festive mood useful for the election campaign. The occasion of Bijaya Dasami was the fitting moment for election campaign, said Dal Bahadur Sunar, CPN-UML candidate at the Banke-4 constituency. Almost all the candidates were distributing election materials to the voters on the occasion of Bijaya Dasami.

 

Ramchandra Bogati, a candidate of the Akhanda Nepal Party at the Banke-4 constituency, said that he toured most of the villages of his constituency during this festival. “I found the people very eager for voting,” Bogati said.
