Asserting Possibilities Of Irregularities In Elections

Issue 48, December 1, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

November 30, 2013: speaking to the lead cadres in Butwal of the Rupendehi district yesterday, senior leader of UCPN-Maoist Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said that his party has been collecting the evidences of the irregularities in the elections; he also said that there is a possibility of exchanging ballot boxes while transporting to the district headquarters, as the Election Commission did not involve the agent of the party while transporting the ballot boxes, according to the news in the ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.

Dr Bhattarai also said that his party would launch another war as in 1996 if the majority-winning parties were to revive the constitution of 1990. He urged the party leaders and cadres not to be panic but be patient; even though the party has lost the elections it has not lost its agenda. The party would not divert from the federalism, identity-based federal states, secular state, and forward-looking agenda.
