Progress Made By The Current Government

February 17, 2013: Prime Minister Dr. Bbauram Bhattarai has proudly identify his more than a dozen achievements he said he had made during the 18-month of his government. The first and the foremost is the army integration. The second achievement is the widening of the roads in Kathmandu and other urban centers. He said that none of the previous governments had been able to do so since 35 years ago. Other achievements of the prime minister are setting up of an Investment Board, making investments in a dozen of hydropower projects including the West-Seti project, identification of 17 nationally important projects, and so on.

Similarly, Deputy Prime Minister holding the portfolio of Home Minister Bijya Kumar Gacchedar identified the progress his ministry had made during the 18-month of the current government. DPM Gacchedar said that his ministry had enacted National Security Act, Ten-year Long-term Concept of Home Ministry, Security Service Commission Act, and creation of awareness against violence and crimes. DPM Gacchedar claimed that the police have been able to maintain peace, law and order, protection of the lives and properties of the people consequently increasing the trust of the common folks in the police, according to ‘Gorkhapatra’ of yesterday and today.
