Meeting of HLPM

March 27, 2010: the meeting of the High Level Political Mechanism (HLPM) of the three major political parties such as UCPN-Maoist, NC and CPN-UML is held at the parliamentary office of UCPN-Maoist on March 26, 2010. Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda, Acting President of NC Sushil Koirala, NC Parliamentary Party leader Ram Chandra Poudel and senior leader of NC Sher Bahadur Deuba and Chairman of CPN-UML Jhalanath Khanal have attended the meeting. Prachanda presided over the meeting. They have agreed on setting up a state-restructuring commission in principle. They have also passed the condolences after seven days of the death of Girija Prasad Koirala. Leaders of the three major political parties have set up the HLPM to break up the current political deadlock and to work on the consensus politics under the leadership of late Girija Prasad Koirala.
