August 29, 2013: the central committee meeting of the UCPN-Maoist has started off on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 to evaluate the findings of the leaders that had gone to districts for a month for the assessments of districts to ascertain the position of the party in those districts, according to the news in ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.

The assessments of the districts done by the leaders, and presented at the central committee meeting have it that the UCPN-Maoist will win 41 out of 66 seats in the Madhesh thus emerging a strong party there.

The Party will have to compete with the NC in the western Nepal, and is far ahead of the NC, and the CPN-UML in the eastern Nepal.

Seventy-seven leaders that had visited in different districts for a month submitted reports on their findings at the districts to the central committee meeting. Their findings have been that the UCPN-Maoist will secure two-thirds majority in the elections to a new CA to be held on November 19, 2013.
