Glorifying The Man That laid The Foundation Of Tyranny

Issue 07, February 17, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

February 12, 2013: the state-run news agency yesterday has the news about some members of the All Nepal Nationalities Conference of Sarlahi have nothing but praises for Prithvi Narayan Shah that had laid the foundation of the despotic Shah dynastic rule.

Ethnic people would not have to surrender all their basic human rights to the Shah rulers, and would not need to live under the repression of the Shah-Rana rule for 240 years if the ethnic people could have fought against such tyrannical rulers and won back their human rights.

In no case, Prithvi Shah deserves any praise from the ethnic people in particular and the Nepalese people in general. Prithvi Shah simply reminds us how our forefathers and mothers had to live in the poverty and in destitute. Nepalis need to root out all the remnants of the Shah dynastic rulers including the statues of Prithvi, Tribhuvan, Mahendra, and Birendra, as they have been the ghosts of the past misdeeds.

We would have continued to live under the repression of the Shah rulers if the brave Nepalis had not sacrificed their lives to end the monarchy. Now, every ethnic group could claim to have its own autonomous state thanks to the sacrifices of the brave Nepalis that had given their lives, and that had sacrifice their luxurious lives, and suffered from the untold miseries only to free the Nepalis from the dynastic and despotic rulers. Only those brave Nepalis that had reached martyrdom, and that had suffered for the welfare of the people in general are praiseworthy.
