Supporting New Government By Various Means

March 15, 2011: speaking to the reporters for informing on the decisions made by his party, Vice-chairman of UCPN-Maoist Narayan Kaji Shrestha has said that his party has decided to set up a political mechanism to guide the government, to introduce a complementary budget agreed at the time of forming a new government, and also decided to mobilize the party’s newly formed youth wing called People’s Volunteers for working with the people for development work, “The Rising Nepal” of today writes.
The entire team of the members of the National Planning Commission (NPC) including Vice-Chairman Dr. Jagadish Chandra Pokharel seconded by the NC and appointed by the previous government has quit the office on Monday, March 14, 2011 paving the way for the new government to appoint its own people to those positions.
Similarly, Executive Chairman of the state-run media house called Gorkhapatra Corporation Vijaya Chalise has also quit the office for making the government to appoint its person of choice. The previous administration has appointed him to the position of the Chairman of the Gorkhapatra Corporation.
