Preparations for Polling On November 19

August 13, 2013: speaking at the press conference on Sunday, Ganesh Man Pun said that following the instruction of Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda, the Young Communist League (YCL) the youth wing of UCPN-Maoist decided to post at least 200 YCL members to every polling booth on November 19.
"Apart from mobilizing the youths for election, our party chairman wants them to involve in production work as well," nepalnews.com quoted Pun as saying. "It will be too late if we postpone the production work, which was first mandated by the Hetauda convention. Election and production, therefore, will move ahead together," said Pun.
On Sunday, August 11, 2013, Police arrested a leader of the poll-opposing CPN-Maoist’s sister wing known as the National Youth People’s Volunteer Organization Bijay KC at Dhapakhel, Lalitpur for attempting to smear a leader of Chure Bhawar Party Bhumiraj Niroula with soot, according to nepalnews.com.
On Sunday, August 11, 2013, Chairman of Interim Election Council Khil Raj Regmi said that the upcoming November 19 elections to the second Constituent Assembly couldn’t be deferred on any pretext. "The already scheduled election is the reality. We all have to make attempts from our side to make the event a success," nepalnews.com quoted Chairman Regmi as saying.
