Controversy Over Integration Of Two Factions Of Congress Party

February 18, 2010: cadres of two district committees such as Okhaldunga and Sankhuashava of the Nepali Congress party have vandalized the party office breaking chairs and hurling name-plates in the air as they have been dissatisfied with the working of Reconciliation Committee headed by Vice-president Prakash Man Singh. Some of the cadres have even attempted on manhandling Mr. Singh.

After the merger of the Nepali Congress-Democratic with its mother party Nepali Congress at the center, all district committees have been reconciled except for Okhaldunga and Sankhuvashava. The central leaders have been facing difficulties to satisfy both the cadres of Nepali Congress and its split-away party Nepali Congress-Democratic.
