Finally Legislature Opened to Work

On December 23, 2009, the legislature has started off working regularly after the Maoist legislators have stopped holding the legislature hostage. The first thing the legislature has done is to amend the schedule for writing a new constitution for eighth time but not changing the final date of promulgating a new constitution on May 28, 2010 (Jestha 14, 2067).
Following the new schedule, the three committees such as Constitutional Committee, Committee on Restructuring State and Committee on Governance Structure has sufficient time to submit their preliminary draft reports to the Constituent Assembly for debate, as the deadline for submitting their draft reports has been extended to January 21, 2010.
