Home Minister Needs to Resign

Issue 29, July 19, 2009

By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu

A few days after taking the oath of the office of the Home Minister, Bhim Rawal has said that he will quit the job if he cannot control traffic and business shutdowns, strikes and overall anarchy in the country. We have seen that even the state employees have shutdown the business of the government causing inconvenience to the common folks who need the services from them; the Armed Police have killed an innocent man and injured several others in Saptari at the heat of the argument over the fertilizers brought from across the Nepal-India border; the locals have assaulted the police on the premises of the Kathmandu District Court when the alleged killer of Khyati Shreshta were brought in. So, all these things have proved that Home Minister Bhim Rawal has been inept at keeping law and order. So, he needs to quit the job immediately on the moral ground.
