Girijababu Died Of Lung Cancer
By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu
March 23, 2010: the Nepalese media have revealed that Girijababu has died of lung cancer. In conjunction with the family member, doctors attending Girijababu have held back the truth of Girijababu having the lung cancer to keep up his morale according to the news. So, Sujata Koirala and doctors know that Girijababu has been living the last days of his life but they neither reveal it to Girijababu nor to any other political leaders.
It is a betrayal of trust. So, most of the political analysts assume that Sujata Koirala and other Nepali Congress leaders must have held many other state secretes from other political leaders.
Political analysts say that the Nepali Congress leaders have been deceiving the Nepalis people since 1950s. The disclosure of Girijababu suffering from the lung cancer is the example of the latest deceit the Nepali Congress leaders have perpetrated.
The question is whether Nepalis trust such leaders again?
The political course would have taken a different course if other political leaders know Girijababu is dying soon. Possibly, by this time, the current political deadlock would have been broken fi they know they have to work in absence of Girijababu but most of the leaders have been waiting for Girijababu to recover and then proceed to the political talks.
Nepal has no provision for punishing any person holding back such nationally vital information from the people and the political leaders but it is a serious incident for which the doctors and the family member of Girijababu are nee to hold accountable.
