Former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Sinawatra In Nepal

December 17, 2011: Former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Sinawatra flew to Kathmandu from Myanmar yesterday. The Thai ambassador received Former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Sinawatra at the Kathmandu airport. He did not stay in Kathmandu but took domestic flight to Lumbini.

Former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Sinawatra has been staying in the Thai Buddhist shrine according to the Avenue TV. He has made offerings to Mayadevei: mother of Lord Buddha in Lumbini. Buddha was born in Lumbini more than 2,500 years ago. So, Lumbini is a sacred place for all Buddhists in the world.
