Appointments of Seven Vice-chancellors Of Different State Universities

August 9, 2011: Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal in the capacity of the Chancellor of universities yesterday has appointed seven vice-chancellors to different universities following the recommendations made by the committee coordinated by Education Minister Ganga Lal Tuladhar, ‘The Rising Neal’ of today writes. The offices of vice-chancellors have remained empty for last several months because of the political bickering.

Appointed vice-chancellors are

1.    Prof Dr. Hira Maharjan of Kirtipur, Kathmandu to the Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University.
2.    Prof. Maheshwor Man Shrestha of Koteshwor, Kathmandu to Purbanchal University.
3.     Prof. Dr Shiva Hari Marahathha of Bakrang, Gorkha, to Nepal Sanskrit University.
4.     Prof. Khagendra Prasad Bhattarai of Lalitpur to Pokhara University.
5.     Prof Dr. Kailash Nath Pyakurel of Naya Baneshwor, Kathmandu to University of Agriculture and Forestry.
6.     Dr Jaya Raj Awasthi of Huinnath, Darchula to the Far-Western University.
7.    Prof Dr Padma Lal Devkota of Birendranagar, Surkhet to the Mid-Western University.
