Never Accepting Group Entry Of Madheshis Into Nepal Army

September 13, 2011: talking to the reporters in Biratnagar yesterday, President of NC Sushil Koirala has said that the four-point deal the UCPN-Maoist has reached with the Unified Democratic Madheshi Front (UDMF) has no legitimacy and his party would never accept the group integration of the Madheshi people in the Nepal Army, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.
The four-point deal the UCPN-Maoist has reached with the UDMF has the provision for integrating the 10,000 Madheshis into the Nepal Army.
President Koirala has urged the Maoists to create an environment conducive to build the trust among the political leaders first completing the peace process otherwise the NC would not trust the Maoists. He also has said that the time has been for the acid test of Chairman Prachanda and Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai how they would manage the peace process and the NC would give the support for them to complete the two historical tasks of completing the peace process and the constitution writing without joining the government.
