Budget Session Of Legislature Starts Off

July 5, 2010: President Ram Baran Yadav has summoned the budget session today. Speaker Subash Nemwang has read out the letter sent out by the President’s office concerning the opening of the budget session of the legislature to the legislators. Thereafter, the Speaker announced the postponement of the session to July 11, 2010, as the government has not submitted its policies and programs for legislators to debate.
Following the resignation of Prime minister, the Madhav government has been the caretaker government so it cannot submit polices and programs but it is going to submit an advance budget with the consent of the leaders of the three major political parties such as UCPN-Maoist, NC and CPN-UML on July 11, 2010.
