Prime Minister Prachanda in China

After the completion of his China visit, talking to the reporters of the State-owned Nepalese news agency called RSS, Prime Minister Prachanda said his visit to China was a success, and the return visit of Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao and even of President Hu Jintao is possible. He also said that China is willing to assist Nepal in developing hydropower and infrastructures.

Prime Minister Prachanda was in China for attending the concluding ceremony of Beijing Olympic Game held on Aught 16-24, 2008. While in China he visited the Chaitya (Buddhist temple) built in China by the Nepalese architect called Araniko in the 13th century, the memorial of Mao Zedung and the Great Wall of China. He flew from Beijing to Bangkok on a regular flight of the Thai airlines on August 26 and back to Nepal on the same airlines on August 27, 2008.
