Lawmaker Yadav In Police custody

September 21, 2011: the police have picked up lawmaker Shiva Pujan Raya Yadav belonging to the Madhesi People’s Rights Forum-Nepal from his residence at Tahachal, Kathmandu yesterday and turned him over to the Commission on Investigation into Abuse of Authority (CIAA). He has been charged with selling his privileged travel document to someone that has already successfully traveled with that document to Australia and has been there for some time.
The CIAA has been preparing for filing a lawsuit against lawmaker Yadav at the Special Court. Some lawmakers have been misusing their travel documents for making money.
