Election Commission To Ask RRP-Nepal For A New List Of Appointees

Issue 50, December 15, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

December 13, 2013: the Election Commission has decided to ask the RPP-Nepal for a new list of appointees to the proportional representation after some of the RPP-Nepal members complained to the EC about the flaw in preparing the list of the appointees, according to the news in the ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.

Some of the members of the RPP-Nepal have complained that Chairman of RPP-Nepal Kamal Thapa has submitted a list of the appointees giving the names of the people that bided the highest amount for the appointment.

Chairman Thapa violated the law that requires the central committee of the party endorses the list of the appointees to the proportional representation ignoring the provision made in the law and unilaterally submitting the list of the names of appointees to the proportional representation, according to the local media news.
