Attempting Self-immolation At Boudha Monastery In Kathmandu Today
By KTM Metro Reporter
February 13, 2013: a young Tibetan exile has set fire on him at the Boudha Monastery in Kathmandu today protesting against the brutal rule of the Chinese in Tibet. This was not a first attempt on protesting against the Chinese rule in Tibet burning one’s body in Nepal but none of them has succeed to do so, as the police were on the spot to prevent such a protester to save from burning to death.
The Chinese government has been blaming the Tibetan Spiritual Leader Dalai Lama self-exiled in India for inciting young Tibetans to self immolate protesting against the Chinese legitimate rule in Tibet but Spiritual Leader Dalai Lama denied such allegations and clearly stated that he was not for such kind of protests.
Spiritual Leader Dalai Lama wanted to reconcile with the Chinese rulers demanding only autonomy to Tibet. However, the Chinese leaders were not ready to grant even autonomy to Tibet. The Tibetan government in exile has been alleging the Chinese government of imposing a dictatorial rule and not even granting religious rights to Tibetans.
