Stoning German Ambassador On Vehicle In Kathmandu

June 20, 2012: cadres unleashed by the NC and CPN-UML to protest the prime minister going to attend the Rio+20 summit in Brazil stoned the German ambassador on the vehicle, could not harm the diplomat but did damage to the vehicle while the diplomat was on the way to see off the prime minister at the international airport in Kathmandu on Monday, June 18, 2012; the diplomat immediately reported the high-ranking Nepalese official also was at the International airport to see off the prime minister about the assault; the Nepalese official apologized to the diplomat for the assault and offered the diplomat to compensate the damage done to the car; President of NC Sushil Koirala also called the ambassador shortly after the assault and apologized to the diplomat for the incident perpetrated by the cadres of his party according to the news posted on myrepublic.com.
