On June 9, 2009, thirty-four class organizations affiliated to the UCPN-Maoist have staged a rally at the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu protesting the Indian encroachment on the Nepalese territory in the Dan district in Western Nepal, and have submitted a protest note to the embassy official.

On June 9, 2009, all-party Constituent Assembly team headed by Amik Sherchan of the UCPN-Maoist and the parliamentary team headed by leader Padma Lal Biswokarma of the NC have separately and independently started the inspection of the border areas where encroachment on the Nepalese territory is reported, the team headed by Sherchan from the western area and the team headed by Biswokarma from the eastern side.

Members of the Community Forest encroached by the displaced people from the border area have shutdown the traffic on the East West Highway at the Lamahi area after Parliamentary Team Leader Padma Lal Biswokarma has said to let the displaced people stay on in the Community Forest area.  However, they have opened the highway after the local administration agreed on evacuating the displaced people from the Community Forest area.

On June 9, 2009, the Constituent Assembly has discussed subject matters such as minority and marginal people, their protection and alleviation of their sufferings and incorporating such things in a new constitution.

On June 9, 2009, Kirat National Freedom Front affiliated to the UCPN-Maoist has called for the shutdown in four eastern districts of Nepal demanding the correction of the unconstitutional step of the President.
