Coalition Government Based On A consensus

Issue 48, December 1, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

November 24, 2013: at a news conference held by the Press Union Chitwan Chapter in Narayangadh of Chitwan today, President of NC Sushil Koirala has said that a coalition government would be formed based on a consensus among the political parties; there is no situation to boast for becoming a largest party and securing a highest number of votes, according to the RSS news on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com.’

'There is no room for pride in the favorable poll result. Constitution will not be promulgated without a consensus among the parties', President Koirala said. Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda and Chairman of CPN-Maoist Mohan Baidya are responsible leaders, he said, adding that they would deliver a constitution within a year after forming a joint government based on a consensus among all.

In response to a question of whether UCPN-Maoist would come to the CA, President Koirala told reporters not to put the questions about the things that would not happen. He suggested reporters to cooperate to promulgate a new constitution in the country on a consensus by reporting positive stories.

Though it is the time to discuss which party to lead the government but it is still not the moment to debate on a person, he added. The country is in a very weak situation, he said, adding that all should come together to bail the country out of crisis and move to a path of progress.
