Minister Hisila Yami Taking Bungee Jump

On April 15, 2009, Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Hisila Yami took a bungee jump: a sport recently introduced in Nepal to attract tourists. Minister Yami along with six other women took part in the bungee jump held at ‘The Last Resort’ to promote Nepal Tourism Year 2011. Speaking to reporters, Minister Yami has said that by taking the bungee jump she wants to send the message of ‘Nepal is one of the Best Adventure Tourism Destinations and also one of the safest destinations in the world.’ The state-run Nepal Tourism Board has held this event.
